The 2012 Topsfield Fair opens on Friday, September 28th at 1:00pm and will run through Columbus Day, October 8th. Highlights include:
Giant Pumpkin Contest – Opening night will see the return of the Giant Pumpkin Contest. Will there be a record breaker? Find out when the weigh-off begins at 2:00pm. A winner is expected to be announced by 9:00pm.
Paid Concerts – On Saturday, October 6th, Bridgit Mendler, star of Disney Channel’s Good Luck Charlie performs at 11:00 a.m. and Hot Chelle Rae performs at 6:00 p.m.
Free Concerts with Paid Admission – Frankie Avalon (Oct. 3), Austin Mahone (Oct. 4), John Michael Montgomery (Oct 5), all at 7:00 p.m.
Featured Shows – Dock Dogs (Sept 28-30), The Flying Wallendas (Oct 6-8), both free with paid admission
Food, Food & More Food – Surveys show that one of the main reasons people come to fairs is the wide variety of food. So this year the theme is “It’s All About The Food.” Fair goers will find their favorites – corn dogs, turkey legs, gobbler sandwich, fried dough, cotton candy, and caramel apples – plus a variety of healthy options. New this yearÂ…chocolate covered bacon!
Prices are $11 per person on weekdays and $15 per person on weekends and Columbus Day. Children under eight with an adult are free. Discount tickets are available at www.topsfieldfair.org through September 26, 2012. General Admission tickets can be purchased for only $9.00, which are good any day during the Fair’s 11-day run. A three-day pass, good any three days, are also available for $25.00. Discounted food vouchers and ride tickets are also available at www.topsfieldfair.org
