Midge Lyon takes protecting the environment very seriously—just as seriously as she takes cleaning homes. The owner of Green Clean rigorously researches every product, making sure that it is 100 percent biodegradable and completely plant-based, never tested on animals and, of course, that it works. Recycled milk bottles transport cleaners, and microfiber mops and rags are washed and reused. Even her vacuum attachments are recyclable. And the results are immaculate—customers claim she has cleaning skills that surpass mere mortals. To limit her carbon footprint, service area is limited to five miles around Salem, though for lucky customers in Gloucester, a recent expansion added a six-mile radius from downtown.
