Lowell Music Series
The secret is out: National artists like Lyle Lovett and Melissa Etheridge are making their way to the award-winning stage at Boarding House Park this summer for a 25th season of live music. Concertgoers spread out blankets or set up lawn chairs to enjoy the backdrop of Lowell National Historic Park and the city’s former textile mills—and ticket prices that are often much lower than at other amphitheaters. The majority of the 1,700-seat venue is general admission – the park opens at 7 a.m. for those truly dedicated to securing the perfect spot—but for an extra $100, VIPs can reserve one of just 30 seats in the first two rows. In addition to paid concerts, the series offers free kids’ events throughout the summer, featuring crafts, trolley rides, and live music.
