If you are a foodie looking for some of the tastiest dishes on the North Shore, you won’t want to miss Davio’s Market Menu every Monday evening during the month of August. This new North Shore high-end hotspot located at Lynnfield’s Marketplace has partnered with Whole Foods in the same complex to bring its patrons dishes prepared with produce grown on the supermarket’s 17,0000-square-foot rooftop organic farm—the largest rooftop farm in New England and the only rooftop farm atop a supermarket in the country.

Davio’s culinary director Rodney Murillo harvests produce grown on the farm—which is yielding an estimated 10,000 pounds of fruits, vegetables, and herbs. The new four-course prix fixe menu will feature new items including a green tomato and cucumber gazpacho topped with tender Maine lobster, a bucatini pasta (long pasta tubes) tossed with baby arugula, purple beans, Vermont butter, and shaved ricotta salata. Following this secondi dish is a grilled swordfish plated with purple and orange carrots and grilled eggplant and served with two distinct sauces—and African chermoula sauce with hints of cumin, coriander, and saffron as well as a fresh dill crème fraîche. Murillo finishes off the dinner with a seasonal blueberries wrapped in a warm flaky pastry. The dishes are paired with Davio’s private label wines.

Murillo is excited about serving organic produce grown in such an innovative manner. “We are able to offer some of the freshest ingredients in our dishes since we are sourcing them from right around the corner,” he notes. Recover Green Roofs, a Somerville-based company specializing in vegetated green roofs, living walls, and rooftop farms designed and installed the farm, which is tended and harvested by Green City Growers, also of Somerville. Davio’s Monday Night Market prix fixe dinner costs $50. For more information, visit  davios.com.
