Wicked Art Bar

There are a lot of paint-and-sip classes to choose from these days—the idea has really taken root on the North Shore. But Wicked Art Bar stands out, in part, for the paintings they help people create—they are pretty cool. The instructors are very jazzed about what they do and instill in novices the confidence to put paint to canvas. The space, with its exposed brick walls, functioning easels (rather than tables), and paint-splattered floor, give it the vibe of an authentic studio. They also host traveling paint-and-sip parties at funky places like Plum Consignment, A&B Burgers, 47 Central, Cape Ann Brewing Company, and Matty’s Food & Spirits. Headquartered on the first floor of the Porter Mill Studios in Beverly, the space is alive to the creative energy being generated by artists working throughout the old mill. Additionally, they cater private events, which include three hours of studio time, guided instruction, and supplies—all for very reasonable prices.
