Thirty-three years ago the 99th Victoria Station opened in Salem, and has remained the last of its kind in the country, making it an historic landmark in its own right. What most distinguishes the popular locale are the panoramic views of the harbor and classic waterfront dining on Pickering Wharf’s docks. The couldn’t-possibly-be-any-fresher seafood and renowned prime rib have kept customers returning for more than thirty years. Vic’s Boathouse (the bar) offers live entertainment five nights a week and earned regional fame when it was named “Best Bar North of Boston” by Boston magazine in 2012. Actually, the entire “station” is one of the best places on the North Shore for good eats, fun drinks, and large parties!
