This month, renowned home furnishing brand Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is asking: If you win our $25,000 Shopping Spree, what will you choose? The winner of the random drawing on Christmas Day will get to select favorites from the company’s offerings, which include upholstery, tables, storage, rugs, lighting, bed linens, accessories, and art.
The entry form itself is a “Wish List,” where entrants “drag and drop” six silver-inspired pieces from a selection of 30 in three product categories. They then have the option of sharing their Wish Lists via social media for more chances to win.
“Yes, someone will be getting a great Christmas gift from us,” says Mitchell Gold, chair-man and cofounder. “It’s a chance to decorate a new home for the new year, revitalize rooms you’ve been meaning to update, or finish rooms you’ve started…though is anyone ever finished with the decorating process? Or perhaps you have young adult children just starting out in homes of their own?
“In addition, here’s an idea we’d love people to consider,” says Gold. “If you’re not in decorating mode right now, why not enter, and if you win, give the prize to your favorite charity. We’ve often furnished spaces from meeting rooms to shelters to apartments with nonprofits, and they tell us what a difference it has made in the lives of those less fortunate, on both physical and emotional levels. Or, your charity can use it as a wonderful prize for a silent auction and a real boost to their fundraising efforts.”
This is the final Sweeps in a monthly series. Previous prizes included the company’s iconic Silver Anniversary Major chair in silver leather, as well as a silver-and-smoked-glass cocktail table, silver-and-acrylic bar cart, and Tibetan wool-topped ottoman, with winners from Oregon to Texas, Ohio, British Columbia, New York, and Tennessee.
