MarketStreet Lynnfield Announces 2015 Openings

Since opening in 2013, MarketStreet Lynnfield has been one of the North Shore’s most popular destinations for dining, shopping, and family fun. In 2015, new store and restaurant openings round out the mix for a perfect blend of local flavor and time-tested national brands. “This year, our new retail openings will create a wider selection of apparel and dining options for customers,” says MarketStreet’s general manager, Nanci Horn. “We have an eclectic mix of large and small as well as local and national businesses.”

Several Boston-area businesses have called MarketStreet home since 2013, including Cafe/boutique The Grove, fashion-forward children’s clothing store Lively Kids, and the unique Polka Dog Bakery, a destination for Market Street shoppers who are welcome to bring along their canine friends. Other local openings include Tuck’s Candy Factory, a Rockport-based confectioner whose MarketStreet location opened earlier this year, and Pia, an empowering women’s fashion and gift boutique originally based in Salem. Tobey Grey, an affordable luxury clothing boutique with locations north and south of Boston, will also join Market Street this year.

In addition to these unique local offerings, many national chains will open their doors at Market Street this year. Already, Gap, Gapkids, and children’s clothing retailer Hanna Andersson have flourished in their new locations. In the coming weeks, new Pottery Barn Kids and Banana Republic locations will open their doors, and later this year, outdoor- and sports-outfitters Nike and Eddie Bauer will open new locations, as well as clothing retailer Lucky Brand, and accessory shops Claire’s and Charming Charlie’s. “We’ve also recently announced a brand new Lilly Pulitzer signature store called Pink Parkway, which will open just in time for summer,” says Horn.

New restaurants will bring even greater variety to the many dining choices MarketStreet offers. Wahlburgers, a casual, creative Boston burger restaurant will bring a taste of urban flavor to Lynnfield, as will Gaslight, a spacious new restaurant that provides a casual, upscale dining experience. “Many of our new restaurants opening later this year are traditionally city restaurants—the idea of bringing them to a more suburban setting has been very well-received,” explains Nanci Horn. Other restaurants opening this year include Sweetgreen, a restaurant that focuses on fast, healthy, and wholesome offerings, and Muse Paint Bar, a combination dining and entertainment spot that teaches painting and offers an artistic outlet as well as creative drinks and appetizers.

MarketStreet has garnered a wonderful reputation among North Shore residents; Nanci Horn calls the community’s reception amazing and adds, “We've had such a warm welcome from the community, and feedback from customers on our recent and future additions has been overwhelmingly positive. Our stores, restaurants, and events are all designed to create a fun, open space for families and friends to spend the day.”

MarketStreet’s next events will celebrate the opening of the new Pottery Barn Kids location, with a sneak peek opening on Friday, March 27, and grand opening events on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29. More information can be found at marketstreetlynnfield.com.
