SummerQuest at the Crane Estate, Ipswich

Standout Qualities: This nine-week place-based educational day camp uses the 2,000-acre Crane Estate as its backdrop, and offers unique lessons to nearly 475 kids who take part in themed quests that include Seacoast Safari, Crane Scene Investigators, Wizardry for Muggles, Crane Castaways, and more.

Philosophy: Camp activities are designed to set the imagination aflame with experiential story-based lessons in history, topography, habitat, and wildlife, focusing on the story of human impact and how it has changed the environment.

What’s New: This year, SummerQuest is collaborating with Lowell’s Boat Shop for two special sessions: The World of Boats and The Great Rowing Adventure.

Standout Qualities: Tiny Tunes’ music program is taught by teachers who are all musicians with degrees in music, theatre, and education. 

What’s Unique: Infant/toddler music classes are led by a teacher that sings with the entire class, accompanied by a pianist. The program’s STARS! classes for older children also feature live piano accompaniment during rehearsals and for all performances, and focus on building confidence, teamwork, and social skills.
