Topsfield Fair

The Topsfield Fair might be turning 198 years old, but that doesn’t mean that it’s stale. Quite the opposite, in fact. America’s oldest agricultural fair seems to get bigger and more bustling every year: Its rides are more daring, its giant pumpkins more impressive, and its fried food more indulgent. For all its glitz, though, part of Topsfield Fair’s charm is its devotion to the more traditional fair attractions, too, like blue-ribbon jams, quilts, veggies, and more.
