Newburyport Riverfront Music Festival

Grab a spot early—this mellow, free festival, sponsored by local radio station 92.5 The River and featuring a terrific mix of up-and-coming and legendary rock acts, has been packing Newburyport’s Waterfront Park every Labor Day weekend for going on 15 years. Last year, a multigenerational crowd enjoyed headliner English Beat as well as sets from Houndmouth and Saint Motel, among other alternative rock acts. It’s hard to beat the location, with boats bobbing on the Merrimac in the background—or, but better yet, tie up your yacht for the best seat in the house.
