Bridgewell, a Peabody based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and helping individuals with intellectual, developmental and psychiatric disabilities and other life challenges, formally celebrated the relocation of its headquarters to 10 Dearborn Road. In partnership with the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce, Bridgewell hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on June 7, 2017. Distinguished guests in attendance of the ceremony included Peabody Mayor Edward Bettencourt, Jr.

The new headquarters accommodates close to 100 employees, and ensures that Bridgewell remains in a strong position of continued growth and innovation while providing the highest quality care. Relocating Bridgewell's headquarters to Peabody afforded the nonprofit the ability to consolidate operations by centralizing administrative, program management, human resources, and training departments.

“It is an honor to officially welcome Bridgewell and its new office to Peabody,” said Mayor Edward Bettencourt, Jr. “The city is proud to be part of Bridgewell’s growth, and we look forward to a bright future of continued success together.”

“Bridgewell’s move deepens the longstanding connection we have with the city of Peabody,” said Kelly J. Martin, Bridgewell’s interim Chief Executive Officer. “Not only do we employ over 70 Peabody residents at Bridgewell, we also provide a variety of services to local individuals and families through community residences and other programs in the city.”

“We are excited to have Bridgewell’s administrative offices come to Peabody,” said CEO & President of the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce Deanne Healey. “In addition to being one of the largest nonprofit employers in the area, Bridgewell's mission to enable those with a range of disabilities to achieve personal and professional success is an incredible asset to our community.”

Established nearly 60 years ago, Bridgewell is a comprehensive service organization that provides a diverse array of services and programming to its supported populations. These services include day programs, behavioral health counseling, clinical care, employment training, staff supported community residences educational programs, substance use treatment and recovery services, as well as transitional and permanent affordable housing. Bridgewell operates more than 100 programs in 24 cities and towns in Eastern Massachusetts and serves more than 6,250 individuals each year.
