Before the holidays, young equestrians from the Burnstock Riding club in Boxford participated in the 11th Annual Hackathon for Hope to benefit Windrush Farm therapeutic riding. The riding club members received pledges from friends and family for each mile, rode their horses around Boxford, and together raised over $1,300 to support individuals with special needs who ride therapy horses at Windrush.

“We had a wonderful Hackathon again this year with the incredible members of the Burnstock Riding club” says Matti Burns, founder of the Hackathon. “The girls were very successful in their fundraising endeavors and were excited to support Windrush.”

“We are so grateful to these enthusiastic young riders who have worked hard to raise funds so that individuals with special needs can ride at Windrush,” says Janet Nittmann, CEO of Windrush Farm. “Thanks to generous and kind supporters like the Burnstock riders, our clients can experience the joy of spending time with therapy horses while building self-esteem, and improving balance, muscle tone and coordination. The Burnstock Riding club members are helping us to change lives.”

Fundraising efforts by the Burnstock Riding Club have creatively raised over $ 32,000 for Windrush Farm since 2006.
