It’s the most wonderful time of the year, especially for Boston’s iconic Frog Pond which was named the No. 1 skating rink in the country and No. 2 in North America. Beating out other rinks from New York City to San Francisco, the Frog Pond is a long-standing Boston destination attracting locals and visitors alike to its picturesque spot in America’s oldest public park.

The Frog Pond is managed by The Skating Club of Boston, which hosts ice shows including the recent Boston Tree Lighting Skating Spectacular and the upcoming First Night Skating Spectacular celebration on December 31 at 6 p.m. The Frog Pond also hosts free programs during the other seasons including the highly popular summer yoga series.

“We were thrilled to learn the results of this year’s reader’s poll,” says Doug Zeghibe, executive director of The Skating Club of Boston. “Our management team works hard to maintain great ice, offer superior customer service, and do their best to create a fun and inviting destination for folks who want to skate. Plus, having a skating rink in the city’s beautiful Boston Common, is a top choice in and of itself.”
