Kane’s Handcrafted Donuts is pleased to announce a collaboration with Boston-based Farmer Willie’s Craft Ginger Beer and Ipswich-based Privateer Rum for two limited-edition December flavors of the month—the Farmer Willie’s Craft Ginger Beer Donut and the Privateer Eggnog Donut. These scrumptious donut creations will be available beginning December 1 through the month of December at both Kane’s Handcrafted Donuts locations: 120 Lincoln Avenue in Saugus and 90 Oliver Street in Boston’s Financial District.

Farmer Willie’s is a Boston-based, Rhode Island-produced brewery that uses fresh pureed ginger, lemon juice and nutmeg to create a dry, balanced and refreshing alcoholic ginger beer. (Note: the donut is not alcoholic, as the alcohol burns off during the cooking process). After Kane’s enjoyed success with their most recent partnership with Samuel Adams and several other local brands over the years, they crafted yet another seasonal delight for the month of December. The Farmer Willie’s Ginger Beer Donut is a delicious handcrafted cake style gingerbread donut dunked in a glaze made from Farmer Willie’s recently released Extra Ginger flavor that is bursting with additional ginger and a touch of cayenne to keep you warm through the winter months. It’s then topped off with Kane’s signature honey glaze made from local honey.

“We are huge fans of Kane’s, and are so excited to be partnering with them for the second year in a row,” says Nico Enriquez, co-founder of Farmer Willie’s. “The limited-edition donut is an amazing opportunity to introduce more Bostonians to Farmer Willie’s and showcase our seasonal release, Extra Ginger.”

Privateer Rum is an Ipswich-based distillery that is dedicated to making only the purest spirits, from the highest quality ingredients available unlike many of the larger rum producers today. Privateer’s Silver Reserve Rum boasts flavors of cocoa bean and cocoa butter plus baked pineapple, brown sugar, molasses, and clove. The Kane’s Privateer Eggnog Donut is a cake style donut made with Pure Country Eggnog and Privateer Silver Reserve Rum, and loaded with freshly ground nutmeg then dipped in Kane’s signature honey glaze.

 

 

For the month of December, Kane’s is also featuring holiday favorites like the Kane’s Chocolate Candy Donut, which is a rich chocolate cake style donut with a creamy cool peppermint frosting then topped with crushed candy canes. The monthly Gluten Free option is a Chocolate Coconut Gluten Free Donut, a gluten free cake style chocolate donut dipped in Kane’s signature honey glaze then rolled in shredded coconut. The December cupcake is the Winter Dream Cupcake, a rich devil’s food chocolate cupcake with a cream cheese frosting festively decorated.
