In case you couldn’t get to Boston on July 4th to see Keith Lockhart on the Esplanade, you’ll have an opportunity to see him closer to home at The Lynn Auditorium on October 1 when he will help close out North Shore Community College’s 50th Anniversary celebration.

An Evening to Remember with Keith Lockhart & Friends is a combined celebration of the college’s 50th and Maestro Lockhart’s 20-year anniversary with The Boston Pops. Lockhart, who will be joined by five musicians, will reminisce about his two decades with the Pops and demonstrate with some of his favorite music.

Celebrating his twentieth anniversary as Boston Pops Conductor, Maestro Lockhart is the second longest-tenured conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra since its founding in 1885. He has conducted nearly 1,700 Boston Pops concerts, most of them at Boston’s historic Symphony Hall. He has also led annual Boston Pops appearances at Tanglewood, the celebrated annual July 4 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, and national and international tours. He has collaborated with more than 250 guest performers from virtually every corner of the entertainment world.

Conductor Lockhart has recorded eight albums on the RCA Victor/BMG Classics label and he and the Pops were a major inspiration behind the creation of BSO Classics, the in-house recording label for both the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops. He also serves as Artistic Director of the Brevard Music Center and Principal Conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra.

Tickets for the October 1 event are on sale now via The Lynn Auditorium or Ticketmaster. For more information, see
