Get ready for a Texas-sized party. The Ironstone Farm Spirit of Giving Gala is designed to lasso big fun for guests and big support for local children with special needs.
Known for its dare-to-surprise thematic events, the Spirit of Giving is not your typical speeches-and-rubber-chicken, charity affair. This year’s theme for the gala is “Dallas: Bring your Bling.” Guests are welcome to dress the part, with big belt buckles and cowboy hats expected to help transform the Andover Country Club into a slice of the Lone Star state.
Ride a mechanical bull. Visit chuck wagons to sample high-end Texas food. Kick up your heels to the rock and country music of the Houston Bernard Band. Go “all in” at the Texas Hold ‘em table. Learn to line dance. Leave with prizes from Susan Wornick’s live auction or from cashing in chips earned at the gaming tables.
And all the money raised supports Ironstone Farm’s nonprofit programs. Ironstone Farm, on Route 133 in Andover, provides therapy for children and adults with special needs, cancer survivors, combat veterans returning with stress, teens at risk, elders with memory issues and others.
The fun night, on Saturday, November 15th, honors three area philanthropists who have inspired many with their “Spirit of Giving.”
Tickets to Spirit of Giving are $125 and sponsorships range from $500 to $20,000.
