The 2017 Topsfield Fair is back and better than ever! Highlights include:

 

Expanded Convenient Parking Reminder – To help alleviate traffic on Route 1 during the Fair, the Essex Agricultural Society, the organization that operates the Topsfield Fair, purchased 23 acres of land last year to be used to park 600 cars.  Fairgoers who park in the lot conveniently located down the street from the fairgrounds will be bussed to the entrance using a dedicated lane on Route 1.  Parking will also be available on weekends at North Shore Community College in Danvers.  Note:  No parking at Masconomet High School in Topsfield this year.

Giant Pumpkin Contest – An Opening Night favorite is the Giant Pumpkin Contest. Will anyone break the 2012 record which weighed more than a ton at 2,009 pounds?  Find out when the weigh-off begins at 4:00pm. A winner is expected to be announced by 9:00pm.

 

 

Free Concerts with Paid Admission – The Reminisants (Oct. 2) at 2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m., The BaHa Brothers Band (Oct. 3) at 2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m., Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone (Oct. 4) at 7:00 p.m., Village People (Oct. 5) at 7:00 p.m., and High Valley (Oct. 6) at 7:00 p.m.

 

 

Returning Favorites – Dock Dogs (Sept 29 – Oct. 1), New England Rodeo (Oct. 4 & 5), The Flying Wallendas (Oct. 7-9). Show times vary. Free with paid admission.

 

Featured Arena Shows:

Monster Truck Freestyle & Demolition Derby – Two Shows on Saturday, Sept.30th at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $15 each in addition to Fair Admission.  Combo tickets that include the show and a Pit Party are also available for $20 each.

 

 

Choo-Choo Soul with Genevieve – Bouncing, bubbly singer-conductor Genevieve Goings brings her popular-with-the-preschoolers Choo-Choo Soul train rolling into the station for an exciting live adaptation of Disney Junior’s short-form video show.Saturday, October 7th at 11:00 a.m.  Tickets are $15 each in addition to Fair admission.

 

 

Cassadee Pope – Grammy nominated, Cassadee Pope, who won Season 3 of NBC’s hit talent show The Voice, is coming to the Arena to perform Wasting All These Tearsand other hits on Saturday, October 7th at 6:00 p.m.  Free with paid admission.

Swifty Swine Racing & Swimming Pigs – Head down to Arena Road to watch these pigs race for an Oreo cookie.  These pigs are making their Topsfield Fair debut with free shows running all week. 

Moto Maniacs – If you like mad motorcycle stunts and astounding acrobatics with electrifying music, you’ll definitely want to experience this wild ride.  Free shows run all week on Grange Road. 

 

 

Discount Tickets

Admission tickets – good any day during the Fair’s 11-day run – can be purchased for only $9.00 per ticket online at www.topsfieldfair.org/tickets through September 25th or at the Topsfield Fair ticket booth located at the main entrance of the fairgrounds at 207 Boston Street in Topsfield through September 28th.  A three-day pass, good any three days, is available for $25.00.  The ticket booth is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Discount admission tickets are available at businesses in more than two dozen North Shore cities and towns, including: Crosby’s Market, First Ipswich Bank, and Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank.

Discounted ride tickets and food vouchers are only available at www.topsfieldfair.org and the Topsfield Fair ticket booth.  Ride tickets are available in strips of ten tickets for $24. Only one ticket is needed for most rides.  Multiple tickets are required for most rides when purchased during the run of the fair.  Some restrictions apply. 

 

Senior Citizen Day – On Monday, Oct. 2nd admission tickets for seniors (age 60 & over) are only $8.00.  This offer is only available on Oct 4th.

Military Day – Active  members of the United States Military and their immediate families are invited to attend the Topsfield Fair for free on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd.  This offer is only available on Oct. 3rd.

Tickets – Regular ticket prices for the 2017 Topsfield Fair are $11.00 each September 29, October 2-5 and $15.00 each on October 6, weekends, and Columbus Day (October 9).  Children under eight with an adult are free.
