Temazcal Tequila Cantina, a vibrant Mexican eatery and tequila bar that has established itself as a hotspot in Boston’s Seaport District and at MarketStreet in Lynnfield, will expand to Burlington this month, opening its third location at 2 Wall Street in the former Papa Razzi space.
The two-level, 200-seat Burlington location will satisfy the North Shore’s cravings for upscale Mexican with sizzling fajitas, rich enchiladas, lobster guacamole and more, while impressing guests with a sophisticated tequila and cocktail program. A stunning, centrally-located bar will be the essence of the restaurant’s main floor, with a private event space and additional seating upstairs for a more intimate dining experience. An outdoor patio off of the main level allows guests to dine al fresco in the warmer months.
Temazcal Burlington embodies the perfect juxtaposition of antique charm and modern design both inside and out. The incorporation of natural materials like reclaimed wood, steel, wrought iron and brass give off a romantic, rustic feel, yet Temazcal also offers contemporary amenities like outlets for phone chargers and big- screen LED TVs on both levels.
Under the leadership of Chef Osmaro Morales, who has worked at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, Masona Grill, and Elephant Walk, guests will indulge in made-from-scratch Mexican fare made with fresh, local ingredients. In addition to Temazcal’s extensive taco and tortas menu, standout house specialty dishes include the Grilled Skirt Steak Tampiquena (cheese enchilada, black beans, queso fresco, salsa roja, and Mexican rice) and the Salmon Puebla Style (seared Atlantic salmon, quinoa, kale, bell pepper, and salsa la casita). Menu items like the Acapulco Street Corn and Crispy Plantain Empanadas further embody Temazcal’s modern take on traditional dishes.
An extensive tequila collection encompassing more than 250 varieties is the foundation of Temazcal’s extensive beverage program, which also includes signature margaritas, cocktails, wine, and beer.
Temazcal Tequila Cantina will open at 2 Wall Street, Burlington, with plans to open a fourth location in Dedham later this summer. Temazcal Burlington will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. daily serving lunch and dinner.
