Help Our Children Grow
The Girls and Boys Club of Lawrence is pleased to announce that the annual dinner-auction “Garden Party: Help Our Children Grow” will be taking place on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Diburros in Haverhill, Mass. The Lawrence Boys and Girls Club has been the forefront of youth development in Lawrence for over 118 years and now, more than ever, is reaching out to community to join this event.
“The annual auction is the major fundraiser for the year. We rely on the money raised this evening to keep the doors to the club open,” said Markus Fischer, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence. “We have a committed team that runs this event each year but are still looking to the community to support.”
The auction committee would welcome volunteers, donations or new ideas. One easy way to participate in this event is by purchasing a raffle ticket. This year through a generous donation from Tiffany & Co., the club has a raffle for a stunning Diamond Three Row Metro Bangle. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, April 9 at the Annual Auction taking place a Diburros in Haverhill, Mass. You do not have to be present at the auction to win.
The 18K White Gold Bracelet is beautifully set with 2 carats of brilliant round diamonds, and is valued at over $8,500. The Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence are selling only 300 tickets at $100, so the odds of winning are high. The winner will be drawn at the auction, but their presence is not necessary.
The success of the raffle and the auction is critical to providing much-needed funding to support the educational and recreational programs that are offered at the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence. 25 percent of the organization’s revenue is generated from the Auction and summer golf tournament.  Take part in bettering the lives of so many young children while having the opportunity to win this exquisite prize.
