Grand Tasting 2018 Recap

On March 29, 2018, over 450 guests gathered at the Blue Ocean Event Center in Salisbury for our fourth annual event.


On March 29, 2018, over 450 guests gathered at the Blue Ocean Event Center in Salisbury to taste both savory and sweet creations from some of the best restaurants, top chefs, gourmet food shops, chocolatiers, bakeries, and wine purveyors that the region has to offer at Northshore magazine’s fourth annual Grand Tasting & Culinary Marketplace, featuring Hell’s Kitchen All Stars­ chef and Stoneham native Nicholas Peters Bond. Three-time Emmy Award-winning executive producer and longtime co-host of NESN’s Dining Playbook Jenny Johnson served as master of ceremonies and brought not only her culinary enthusiasm to the event but her very own Sonoma sparkling wine, Champy, which was available for guests to sample. 

Guests also participated in a silent auction and a raffle, where one lucky winner (from Tuscan Kitchen) received a gorgeous sapphire and diamond ring valued at $3,500, courtesy of Tesoro Boston. Proceeds supported The Greater Boston Food Bank. 

In addition to Tesoro Boston, other sponsors included Blue Ocean Event Center, Mission Oak Grill, Salem Five, Relish Catering, and VINOvations.

VIP packages included an exclusive preview of the event beginning at 6:30 p.m., as well as access to a private wine bar, food, and seating in the exclusive VIP lounge overlooking the Atlantic, and a luxurious swag bag.
