Although it is sad to see summer come to an end, one can’t help but get excited for football season. Pre-season games have started and we are more than ready for another spectacular Patriots season—and a sixth ring for the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady! On every game day (even pre-season games), Kane’s Handcrafted Donuts will offer a specially decorated half dozen in honor of TB12 and the five Super Bowls he has helped New England win. Five of the donuts from Kane’s “Brady Bunch” will be adorned with the years of the Patriots’ five Super Bowl wins, and the sixth donut will be an encouragement for a sixth Super Bowl win! Go Pats!
Also marking the nearing end of summer is the upcoming solar eclipse. August 21 marks the first total solar eclipse that can be seen in the United States since 1979 and Kane’s wants to celebrate this magical moment! Kane’s Handcrafted Donuts will be offering a Solar Eclipse donut symbolizing the blocking of the sun by the moon that occurs during a solar eclipse that can also cause momentary blackouts. The Solar Eclipse donut is a yeast-style donut filled with Boston cream then frosted with vanilla bean frosting and a rich chocolate frosting made with Taza Chocolate, a Mexican-inspired stoneground, organic chocolate manufacturer based in Somerville. Kane’s uses locally sourced products as much as possible, including their signature Taza chocolate frosting.
The “Brady Bunch” and Solar Eclipse donut will be available at both Kane’s locations.
