Markus Sebastiano Opening Party at W Boston

The celebration of the Lawrence artist’s solo exhibition takes place on June 1.

On June 1, come celebrate from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Lawrence-based artist Markus Sebastiano’s solo exhibition, in partnership with Liquid Art House, at The Gallery at W Boston, located at 100 Stuart Street in Boston. The exhibition will run until August 19.

Sebastiano’s style consists of layering painted, printed, stenciled elements, and materials, allowing the artwork to appear multidimensional and ever changing in different light. His current medium predominantly includes the use of spray paint, translucent print, acrylics, torch and water, stain, metal, vintage paper, steel, wood, industrial hardware, and resin.

The cohesion of his hand crafted/faux finished metal surfaces and frames has been described as “exhibiting a seamless union.” Sebastiano has been publicized for his attention to detail and artistic ingenuity and continues to push the conceptual boundaries by defining his ultramodern style with each work of art.

Sebastiano was born in Lawrence in 1979. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design in 2004 from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He currently works out of his studio/gallery, the “BLOCHAUS,” located in Lawrence.
