Nashoba Valley Ski Area, located just 25 miles from Boston in Westford, Massachusetts has become a year-round “staycation” destination. Since opening in 1964, for its first ski season, Nashoba Valley Ski Area has expanded to include an array of year round fun for people of all ages. Here are the Summer Season Offerings for 2016:
The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill Opens May 31 for the Summer of 2016!
This “Island Style” bar and outdoor restaurant is the perfect spot to meet up with friends, have a relaxing drink, or dine outside on the beach. Open Monday through Saturday nights, The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill menu features lobster rolls, steamed clams, Island pizza, Jerk chicken wings, ribs, sandwiches, and salads from 5:30 pm-10:00 pm. Families can bring the kids and swim until dusk, with lifeguards on duty nightly. Take in the spectacular sunsets over the water from The Sunset Tiki Bar while sipping on a signature Tiki Mai Tai, Margarita or our Award Winning Sunset Sangria, one of our 7 signature cocktails that have won 1st place at “Taste of Nashoba”. Kick back with a cold brew in one of our Adirondack chairs on the beach and listen to the live entertainment, under the stars, every Tuesday through Saturday night. After 9pm, the atmosphere really lights up at The Sunset Tiki Bar, open for those that are 21 and up, until 1:00 am. Our Late Night Menu, featuring wings and pizza, will be available from 10pm-11pm, Monday-Thursday and 11pm-12am Friday-Saturday.
The Tiki Trail 5K Run
Join us this summer at Nashoba Valley Ski Area, in our 5K Trail Run. Offered Wednesday nights June 15th, 22nd & 29th and July 13th, 20th, & 27th The Nashoba Valley Tiki Trail 5K will be a fun way to explore some of the forest and rolling terrain around Nashoba and then unwind at The Sunset Tiki Bar, for a beverage and a bite to eat. Registration includes: Entry to Race, Nightly Raffle Prizes, Post Race Food and Beverage, and Timed Race by Yankee Timing. All Races start at 7pm. Live Entertainment at The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill
Our Live Entertainment will feature a full schedule of musicians and entertainment each week. Every Tuesday night there will be Karaoke from 7:30- 10:30pm. All summer on Thursday nights, Mickey Lorden will play from 5pm to 7:30pm and the band “Big Time” will play from 8pm-11pm. Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night, from 7:30pm-10:30pm, The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill will feature various Bands and Musicians, throughout the summer. Our House music will play periodically, every evening of nightly operation, from 5pm- 1am. Please check our entertainment calendar for a complete listing of times and live entertainment.
Theme Nights
Theme Nights will feature additional a la carte specials and drinks, in addition to our regular Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill Menu.
Family Fun-Day Mondays
5:00pm – 8:00pm there will be several special family menu packages starting in late June on Monday nights. Kick back with the kids and enjoy swimming, games and activities. Family Fun-Day Mondays will occasionally feature face painting, ladder ball contests, sand castle building, sack races, hula hoop contests, bounce houses, and more. Tiki Family Food Deals will be offered on Monday nights only and are designed to feed a family of 4 for a great value.
LobsterFest Thursdays
6pm-10pm. LobsterFest will feature A La Carte Lobster Specials. Our “Signature New England” Tiki Clam Bake with a succulent boiled lobster, fresh steamed clams, New England clam chowder, corn on the cob, boiled potatoes, a summer salad, corn bread, and a slice of blueberry pie, will just scream summer when you are dining out on the beach. LobsterFest specials include the Twin Boiled Lobsters and the Lobster Roll and Steamer Combo.
Summer Outings or Corporate Events at The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill
The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill is the perfect spot for a summer function or corporate outing. The all-inclusive menu packages make it easy to plan a private daytime or semi-private evening event for a great value, without sacrificing any of the fun. We book private functions seven days a week in the summer from 11am-4pm and we can also accommodate groups during normal nightly hours of operation. Corporate outings, lobster bakes, BBQs, weddings, anniversaries, class reunions, and family gatherings are just some of the many functions that have taken place at this unique “Island Style” venue. Swimming, volleyball, horseshoes, bocce, and assorted beach games are just a few of the activities that are included with your group outing menu package. The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill now works with a number of other vendors and entertainers and for private functions, they can help you arrange kayaks, stand up paddles boards, a climbing wall, dunk tank, team building activities, live entertainment and more for your summer outing. The Outlook Restaurant and Lounge
Enjoy the summer, slope side view from The Outlook Restaurant and Lounge, located in the Nashoba Valley Ski Area Base Lodge. Our new summer dinner menu features a New England Clambake every night, plus, savory steaks, fresh seafood, pastas, summer salads, and signature sandwiches. The Outlook Restaurant and Lounge serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday nights from 5pm-10pm. The Outlook Restaurant is available for private functions during the day, from 11am-4pm, 7 days a week, throughout the summer. Guests can beat the heat, take a seat, and check out all the sports action on any of six 60-inch HD TVs. The Outlook Lounge stays open until 1am.
The Camp at Nashoba Valley
Summertime is an opportunity for kids to play and learn. The Camp at Nashoba Valley Ski Area will encourage kids from ages 4 to 14 to have fun while developing skills such as, communication, decision-making, and leadership. The Camp at Nashoba Valley is a summer day camp that features a wide range of fun summer activities and is offered for one and two week sessions, starting at the end of June and sessions run through the middle of August.
Summer Volleyball League at Nashoba Valley
From the end of May through early August, participants in the Nashoba Valley Summer Volleyball League compete one of three nights a week, for eight weeks. From the casual, “just for fun” player to the experienced “year round” player, this is a league for everyone. Players head up to The Outlook restaurant and Lounge each night for an après party, to catch the results, enjoy a cold one, and win fabulous prizes in the nightly raffle. Participants must be 21 or older. Finals weekend is August 6th, 2016.
Blues N Brews: Projects of Westford Rotary Charitable Foundation
The 15th Annual Blues N Brews is back and bigger than ever at Nashoba Valley Ski Area, adding a 2nd day of Live Blues N Brews. This 2 day Event will feature top Blues Bands on Saturday and Sunday, August 20th and 21st, 2016. Gates open each day at 10:30am and the venue closes at 7:15 pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday. Dozens of regional micro-breweries and a variety of Barbeque style food will be available. Basic ticket price includes admission to view the live entertainment and Beer N Brew sampling tickets. Additional sampling tickets are available for purchase. Raffles, games and local craft vendors will also be on hand. VIP packages, including special seating to watch the bands, private air conditioned buffet, and goodie bags.
