California Pizza Kitchen (“CPK”), the authority in creative dining with a California vibe, opened its first “Next Chapter” restaurant in Massachusetts on Monday, July 25. Located at MarketStreet in Lynnfield (1150 Market St., Lynnfield, MA 01940), the new restaurant features CPK’s contemporary new look and reimagined menu featuring high-quality, fresh and seasonal ingredients, inventive main plates, hand-tossed artisan pizzas, craft cocktails, local brews and more. The elevated dining experience is part of CPK’s transformational “Next Chapter” initiative that continues to roll out to CPK restaurants nationwide.

“We are excited to introduce our Boston-area guests to California Pizza Kitchen’s ‘next chapter’ with the opening of our new restaurant at MarketStreet in Lynnfield,” said G.J. Hart, executive chairman and CEO at California Pizza Kitchen. “This restaurant showcases our reimagined dining experience, from our contemporary new look that offers a relaxed, California feel, to our incredible new dishes like hearth-roasted halibut and a fire-grilled ribeye that celebrate innovation, seasonality and a little something deliciously unexpected. We look forward to being a part of the North Shore community and welcoming our local guests to experience what’s new at CPK.”

To celebrate the restaurant’s grand opening, this morning CPK hosted an official ribbon cutting and ceremonial pizza slicing with the Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce, Chief of Police David Breen, Town Administrator Jim Boudreau and community partners from Townscape and Haven from Hunger.

Alongside classics like the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, salads, and pastas, highlights of CPK Lynnfield’s menu include:

· Hearth-Roasted Halibut, wild caught from Alaska and roasted on a cedar plank with butternut squash farro, grilled asparagus and baby kale

· Roasted Garlic Chicken with Seasonal Vegetables, a crispy-skin chicken breast in lemon-garlic sauce, with a medley of the season’s freshest vegetables

Modern design showcases CPK’s new look with sustainable elements, local artwork

With a focus on sustainable materials and reclaimed elements, CPK’s new Lynnfield location’s design-forward space creates an upscale and relaxed environment to dine and unwind. The approx. 6,500 sq. foot restaurant space features an open kitchen centered around the open-hearth pizza oven, where guests can watch their meals prepared fresh from scratch every day. Natural elements like reclaimed wood seating, a natural herb garden, colorful décor and artwork of local landmarks adds to the restaurant’s rustic, modern design and neighborhood feel. A covered patio offers an inviting option for al fresco dining.

Picking up the pace with new Lunch Duos

For a quick and satisfying lunch, CPK Lynnfield offers Lunch Duos, where guests can pair lunch-sized versions of a favorite pizza or sandwich and a soup or salad. Lunch Duos give guests a great value, with more than 80 fresh, made-to-order options to mix, match and enjoy in the middle of their time-challenged days.

Satisfaction guaranteed

The new CPK menu encourages diners to seek unique and seasonal flavor combinations and offers a Menu Adventure Guarantee: If a guest tries a new dish and is not satisfied, it will be replaced with his or her favorite item from the CPK menu.

CPKids parties

CPK offers a special program that allows kids to play chef and make their own pizza from the freshest ingredients, while getting creative and learning about food along the way. Perfect for birthday parties, CPKids parties include a VIP-style behind-the-counter restaurant tour, a meal and dessert from the award-winning CPKids menu, souvenirs and a certificate for a free CPKids Meal for each child’s next visit.
