P&M Wins NRA FABI Innovation Award

The Salem-based brand, which already holds over 20 tasting awards, has been awarded for its new Blood Orange Ginger Beer.

Innovative craft cocktail mixer company Powell & Mahoney, has just added another tasting award to its growing collection! The brand, which already holds over 20 tasting awards, has been awarded the prestigious 2017 NRA FABI Award for its new Blood Orange Ginger Beer. The FABI (Food and Beverage Innovation) Awards are designed to honor new products for their achievement in taste, marketability, creativity, and profitability potential. These are all qualities that Powell & Mahoney aims to embody in all its products.

“We are thrilled to be awarded the prestigious FABI award for our Blood Orange Ginger Beer craft cocktail mixer,” says co-founder and CEO Mark Mahoney. “This award exemplifies innovation in our category and we are proud to be honored for our brand’s continued cocktail creativity.  We are excited to show this award and our new product line at the upcoming National Restaurant Association’s BAR 2017 Expo.”

The brand has always found pride in its ability to offer consumers an on-trend, natural and great tasting variety of cocktail mixers, ranging from the traditional to the more adventurous. The FABI award coincides with the much-anticipated spring 2017 launch of Powell & Mahoney’s new sparkling line, which includes the award-winning Blood Orange Ginger Beer, as well as Original Ginger Beer, Mojito, and Tonic water in 12-ounce cans. These fresh (and refreshing) additions to the line offer simple, high quality, and natural mixer choices to round out the brands' already acclaimed cocktail portfolio. Powell & Mahoney is looking forward to sampling these products at the NRA / BAR show in Chicago from May 21-22 at Booth # 11421.

Powell & Mahoney has become one of the fastest growing craft cocktail mixer brands in the Foodservice channel. In 2015, Powell & Mahoney joined forces with Leahy IFP Co. to develop and market Powell & Mahoney products in SIG Combibloc aseptic cartons making it affordable and easy for bartenders to offer quality cocktail mixers. Leahy IFP Co. has since secured distribution for Powell & Mahoney products in Reinhart Foods, Shamrock Foods and Food Services of America, and DOT Foods.

Powell & Mahoney’s full line of award-winning mixers can also be found in retail chains such as Whole Foods Market, Stop and Shop, Wegmans, The Fresh Market, and Total Wine & More. Select flavors have also gained national distribution through Target, Publix, and Walmart, taking the brand one step further in its quest to quench the nationwide thirst for quality, innovative cocktails.
