Powell & Mahoney Wins at the 2016 SIP Awards

The natural cocktail mixer company received six awards at the 2016 Spirits International Prestige Awards Competition.

Powell & Mahoney, LLC, a leading natural cocktail mixer company in the United States, received six awards at the 2016 Spirits International Prestige (SIP) Awards Competition held May 22, 2016 in Newport Beach California. The 98 members of the Consumer Judging Panel sampled 462 international brands in 59 categories. All entrants were critiqued in a blind tasting, with a focus on taste, aroma, and finish.

Powell & Mahoney dominated the “Carbonated Mixer” category and beat out several competitors with their new line of Sparkling Cocktail Mixers – having won “Best in Class” for their Mojito, a gold medal for Ginger Beer, silver for Spiced Grapefruit Tonic, and bronze for Tonic. The Powell & Mahoney Sparkling Mixer line was introduced to the market in 2015 and has since gained a considerable amount of attention from retailers and consumers. Their recent SIP awards are a true testament to the quality of their brand extension.

Two of Powell & Mahoney’s classic flavors were also honored with awards. Lemon Sour received a gold medal in the “Fruit Flavored Mixer” category while Powell & Mahoney’s Skinny Margarita received a platinum award.

Powell & Mahoney is no stranger to tasting competitions – the innovative brand proudly holds over 20 tasting awards. SPINS, a division of Nielsen and the leading provider of retail consumer insights, analytics and consulting for the Natural, Organic, and Specialty Products industry, recently identified Powell & Mahoney #1 in Natural, #1 in Specialty, and the fastest growing mixer in grocery.

The award-winning mixers can be found in retail chains such as Whole Foods Market, Stop and Shop, Wegmans, The Fresh Market, and Total Wine & More. Select flavors have gained national distribution through Target and Publix – allowing Powell & Mahoney to meet the high demand for quality cocktail mixers across the United States.
