Every year, funds from Falcon Band fundraisers such as this Golf Classic, have provided resources for the Falcon Marching Band, including leadership workshops, drill and field instructors and the purchase of band equipment and uniforms. Continued community support also allows the PME to award college scholarships to several graduating music seniors every year.
The Falcon Band’s success continued in March of 2013, under the direction of Mr. Ronald Parsons, when the band marched in the 252nd New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. In December 2013, the band performed in Disneyworld’s Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, as well as the Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal Studios in Florida. The band was able to enjoy their most recent trip in November 2016, where they performed at the 75th Anniversary of the Attacks on Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, HI.
The Falcon Band’s history is strong and one that the community can be proud of. It describes the journey of 160+ young adults who have learned the power of teamwork, sacrifice and dedication to achieve success.
