The Wine ConneXtion, located in North Andover and known for an impressive assortment of exceptional wines, unique spirits and an innovative shopping experience, is expanding their popular tasting series adding three new events focused on Wine, Whiskey and Bourbon. The new tastings on will feature the expert staff at the Wine ConneXtion educating guests on a variety of bourbons, wines, and whiskeys ranging in price, theme, and region. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend and the seating fees to attend the tastings may be applied to the purchase of any of the featured wine or sprits featured during the events.
Saturday, February 17th, 2018| 1:00PM – 5:00PM: Wine ConneXtion Favorites
Who better to make suggestions than the people who work with wine all day long? At this tasting, each staff member will recommend his or her favorite bottle of wine, along with a reason why it is just that. Guests will taste an assortment of varietals at varying price points and, as always, staff will be on-hand to discuss the distinguishing features of each bottle.
Saturday, February 24th, 2018 | 1:00PM – 5:00PM: Battle of the Big Cabs
Swords will collide, and glasses will be raised on the much anticipated annual “Battle of the Big Cabs” tasting. This year The Wine ConneXtion is going global and they’ll be pouring some of the biggest, boldest cabernets from around the world. This tasting will feature new wineries along with old favorites.
Thursday, February 22nd, 2018| 7:00PM – 9:00PM: What’s the Deal with Wood?
Spend the evening exploring the remarkable taste differences found in the types of barrels used to finish fine bourbons and single malts. Special guests Michele Foote and Amanda Goggin will lead guests on a sensory journey of Breckinridge Bourbon Whiskeys and VA Distiller’s single malt, cask finished whiskeys. Guests will be able to sample bourbon whiskeys and single malt, cask finished whiskeys while Michele and Amanda explain how each style of wood impacts the flavors. This is a limited seating event which requires pre-registration. Seat reservations cost $25.00 each, and the seating fee may be applied to the purchase of any of the featured spirits this evening.
Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 | 7:00PM – 9:00PM: Elite Wines from Italy’s Greatest Estates
Indulge and taste the wines from the vaults of some of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious estates. Hosted by Sam Messina and Ciro Pirone from Horizon Beverage, this is a reserved seating event, with limited quantities of the showcased wines for purchase. Seat reservations cost $100.00 each and the fee may be applied to any of the wines poured that evening.
Thursday, March 15th, 2018 | 7:00PM – 9:00PM: Select Irish Whiskey Seminar
Enjoy a night of tasting the finest whiskeys Ireland has to offer as Alex Thibault of Pernod Ricard presents a variety of whiskeys ranging in flavor and price.
