Latitude 43 Restaurant & Bar

From this sunny deck overlooking Gloucester Harbor, diners can speculate on which vessel brought in their day-boat haddock or local sushi. Lush planters separate customers from tourists strolling the boardwalk, making for great people watching; drinks are delicious (try the Good Harbor Beach Bum—tequila and coconut rum tumbled with fruit juices); and the service is well paced, inviting customers to while away an evening. Oh, and that unusual sunshade overhead? In addition to keeping guests cool, it heats the dishwasher’s hot water—just one of the restaurant’s many eco-friendly features.

“I have only ordered fish here…It has always been fresh, to the best of my knowledge. ?I particularly enjoy coming here on late summer nights, sitting on the outside deck and watching the boats come in and go out on the Merrimack. Great views of Plum Island as well…Even during the busy summer months on the deck I am never waiting long for a beverage.” –Andrew
