On Saturday, January 28, The Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) hosted its inaugural Black Tie Gala Benefit, presented by Herb Chambers of Burlington. The black tie affair took place at the Boston Marriott Burlington, and welcomed Burlington-area business leaders, notable community members and government officials for a celebratory evening of dancing and live music to benefit the BACC Charitable Foundation. The inaugural event introduced the 2017 BACC Charitable Foundation Partnership Program, a 501(c)(3) organization, formed to support Burlington-area non-profit organizations. Charter recipients included: Burlington Education Foundation, Burlington Youth & Family Services, HELPIS Inc., Nashoba Learning Center, Neurofibromatosis Northeast, Relay for Life Burlington (American Cancer Society), and UDT-SEAL Association. The event raised funds and awareness for these key community groups and organizations, continuing BACC’s mission of promoting and supporting the Burlington-area community.
BACC President Rick Parker was “overwhelmed with the turnout. It never ceases to amaze me that when called upon, Burlington Area businesses step up to support our community. This event was absolutely top notch, from the food and entertainment, to the fashion and generosity of the attendees. Plans are already underway for our event next year on January 20, 2018 at the Boston Marriott Burlington.”
