Description: Join us for a curator’s talk about the “Manuel Alvarez Brabo” photography exhibition, Thursday, April 2nd, 2009 at 7pm at the Brooks School in North Andover.
Brooks School is lucky to own 13 of Bravo’s photographs, given anonymously some time ago. Curator Ben Charland joined these pieces with 44 photographs from the Rose Gallery in Santa Monica, CA, manager of the artist’s estate, creating a truly comprehensive exhibition of his work.
Charland will discuss the exhibit with the general public in Science Center Forum at the school. Educator Sophia Walter will lead in-depth explorations throughout the exhibit’s run, including pre-visit classroom discussions, guided tours, and follow-up classroom activities for student groups.
