How do you take your Topsfield Fair? Do you head straight to the fruits and vegetable building to discover what a more than 1,000-pound pumpkin looks like? Do you make a beeline for The Midway for a ride on the Ferris wheel and the pirate ship? Do you huddle around the hatchery and wait for a chance to hold a newborn baby chick? Or do you make a meal out of it, indulging in apple crisp, corn dogs, and fried dough? At nearly 200 years old, the Topsfield Fair is America’s oldest agricultural fair, and there’s truly something for everyone. This year’s fair dates are October 3-October 13.
