Fat Biscuit Southern Table & Taps, featuring locally-sourced, preservative free food, has opened its second location at MarketStreet in Lynnfield (its first location is in North Conway, New Hampshire), serving up “wholesome, seasonally-inspired, American cuisine with a definitive nod to the traditions and style of the south,” per the restaurant’s website.

Breakfast will be served all day among such southern-inspired sandwiches as the fried green tomato BLT, the chicken fried steak, or the deep-fried Elvis consisting of crunchy peanut butter, local jam, bananas, candied bacon, battered and deep fried, all served on the restaurant’s signature item—scratch-made biscuits. If biscuits aren’t for you, fear not. The restaurant also offers entrees like shrimp and grits, steak frites, and a fried chicken picnic salad.

In addition, Fat Biscuits’ menu includes several dessert items such as shortcake made with seasonal fruit toppings, s’mores and donut holes, both made with biscuits.

Diners can wash all this down with craft brews from Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont, or with non-alcoholic choices including southern sweet iced tea or an Arnold Palmer.

Fat Biscuit will be open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
