Rubbish to Runway ReFashion Show
April 27 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm$45 – $55
Models will strut the runway to heart-pumping music, wearing 40+ trash-inspired fashions designed by local artists, at the 8th annual Rubbish to Runway ReFashion Show to support Long Way Home, a nonprofit that builds sustainable schools and educates children in Comalapa, Guatemala. This eye-popping sell-out show of “hot couture” wearable art fashioned from post-consumable waste materials – everything from old CDs to bubble wrap, burlap coffee sacks to discarded advertisements – will rock the stage on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield. Guests will also enjoy a pre-show reception with drinks and Latin-inspired tapas (catered by Fusion Andina restaurant of Beverly), a short live auction of theater tickets, vacations, and sculptural art, as well as an intermission dessert buffet.
