SUMMARY:Larcom Theatre’s World Premiere of "The Infinite Moment of Now" 2024
DESCRIPTION:Larcom Theatre is thrilled to announce its upcoming world premiere of “The Infinite Moment of Now\,” set to captivate audiences from September 12 through September 22 at the Larcom Theatre. This comedic coming-of-age play promises an engaging experience for theater enthusiasts of all ages. \n\n\n\nTickets for “The Infinite Moment of Now” are now on sale and can be purchased through the Larcom Theatre’s website.  Don’t miss your chance to see the debut! \n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT: \n\n\n\nWritten by Marblehead local Bianca Vranceanu\, “The Infinite Moment of Now” explores the fierceness\, fragility\, and sometimes fanciful nature of female friendship and how the dynamic bond of three friends evolves over a decade. When Phoebe is faced with a life-altering circumstance\, her best friends Emma and Sophia call an emergency meeting at their secret fountain. Eager to find a solution\, the friends share private information and quickly realize their connections are not as strong as they appear on surface level. Fast forward to leaving for college\, the friends make promises to stay in touch despite being thousands of miles apart. Then\, a decade later\, they reconnect after a shocking event and are faced with a choice: do they want to hold on to their friendship or move on? “Girl code” gets broken\, secrets are revealed\, and the fountain proves to be more powerful and … magical than anyone could have predicted. The play provides a fresh take on the malleable nature of friendships and the dynamic shifts relationships face.  \n\n\n\nDirected by Maddie Roth\, this production showcases the tremendous talent of our local community actors. Audiences can expect vibrant performances from an intimate three-person cast that transports them through three decades of the characters’ lives. \n\n\n\nPERFORMANCES: \n\n\n\nDoors & Bar open 30 mins prior to each show \n\n\n\n•    Thurs.\, Sept. 12 | 7:30 PM – opening night! \n\n\n\n•    Sat.\, Sept.14 | 8:00 PM \n\n\n\n•    Sun.\, Sept.15 | 2:00 PM \n\n\n\n•    Thurs.\, Sept. 19 | 7:30 PM  \n\n\n\n•    Fri.\, Sept. 20 | 8:00 PM \n\n\n\n•    Sun.\, Sept. 22 | 2:00 PM

Her first album\, “Lovesome Thing: Anaïs Reno sings Ellington & Strayhorn”\, debuted in 2021\, and is a 12-song compilation of 100% Duke Ellington/Billy Strayhorn collaborations that rose quickly to #6 on the jazz charts. Her second album – “Anaïs Reno at PizzaExpress Live – in London“ – was recorded last year at the iconic club’s trendy Soho flagship location. SUMMARY:Manchester-by-the-Sea’s Cardboard Boat Regatta 2024
DESCRIPTION:The annual Cardboard Boat Regatta returns to Manchester-by-the-Sea on Sunday\, October 13\, bringing with it all the fun and antics that go into racing boats made of cardboard. The premise is simple: Participants build boats of nothing but cardboard and tape\, and whoever paddles their boat to and from a buoy in Manchester’s Inner Harbor the fastest wins. The event that started out as a backyard party in Manchester 15 years ago now draws spectators from all over and awards trophies for first place\, second place\, and a handful of people’s choice awards like the Cat-Ass-Trophy.
