Voices of Hope reveals Curtains, a riotously funny backstage mystery where show tunes are deadly, egos are enormous, and no one is safe once the orchestra starts playing. Set in 1959 at Boston’s historic Emerson Colonial Theater, Curtains depicts the backstage chaos that ensues when the leading lady of a new Broadway-bound musical is mysteriously murdered on opening night. Enter a local Boston detective with a blatant obsession with musical theater, eager to solve the mystery and maybe perform a bit of soft shoe (!) before the final curtain falls. This production reflects Voices of Hope’s commitment to using the performing arts as a force for good through a community of joy, inspiration, and support. Featuring a talented local cast and a live orchestra, Curtains offers a joyful escape infused with glamour, intrigue, and laughter.
