Artist Audrey Bechler will be honored for her part as an early founder of the current NAA on Water Street in Newburyport, MA. Her over 40 years participation as a champion of NAA and as an exhibitor of her fine art in its galleries has greatly contributed to the NAA success as a Newburyport landmark. During the early 1970s, she and a small group of members purchased the 1795 brick building on 65 Water Street, a former warehouse from the city's early shipping days.
