From cake tastings to dress fittings to venue selections, the wedding planning process can be intimidating! To celebrate the North Shore experts who make wedding dreams a reality, Northshore magazine launched the annual “Best of the North Shore” (BONS) Wedding Awards. The results will be featured in the January/February 2019 Wedding + Travel issue! We have six categories—attire, beauty, details, menu, setting, and the plan—and 40 sub-categories.
Who can be nominated?
Any commercial business based on the North Shore of Boston specializing in one of our 40 wedding award categories. Only local businesses or locally owned, independent franchises are eligible for a nomination and award.
How did you pick your nominees?
Our panel of editors and executives select based on research and knowledge of the North Shore wedding industry. People can also write in and request they be added as a nominee. Write-in nominations are open Saturday, September 1, 2018 through Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
Can I suggest a nominee?
Yes, write-in nominations are open Saturday, September 1, 2018 through Wednesday, September 5, 2018. No nominations will be considered after September 5, 2018. A write-in does not guarantee your nominee will be added to the ballot. Nominations do not count as votes.
How long is voting open?
Voting begins September 6, 2018 and continues through October 15, 2018. Only one vote per email address is allowed.
Can I promote my nomination?
Yes, you may promote your nomination as a BONS Wedding Awards nominee. However, any discounts or special offers in exchange for a vote could result in disqualification. Free promotional assets are available here.
When will I be notified who won?
Winners will be announced in the 2019 January/February Wedding + Travel issue. There will not be advance winner notification.
