Salem Willows Park

When summer gets underway and the nights are warm and long, Salem Willows amusement park and boardwalk are a must. The kitsch factor is half the fun, the other half is thinking about how long the place has been entertaining visitors (since 1858). In addition to arcade games, carousel and bumper car rides, ice cream, cotton candy, pizza, and, of course, the famous chop suey, live music and special events like the Seafood Festival and the Salem Jazz and Soul Festival make for great family fun. Picnicking under billowing 200-year-old white willow trees and taking in the harbor view are part of what makes the Willows, the Willows.
