Red Jacket Resorts is inviting book lovers to bring their love of reading to the beach with the launch of Books by the Sea, a new literary retreat series debuting September 18–20 at Blue Water Resort on Cape Cod. The inaugural retreat will feature conversations with Massachusetts-based Instant USA TODAY bestselling author Hannah Selinger, celebrating her novel Valley of the Moms; Instant USA TODAY bestselling author and journalist Jeanette Settembre, celebrating her debut novel Little Red Flags; and acclaimed author Meg Mitchell Moore, celebrating her most recent novel Down With The Shipmans. Meg Mitchell Moore and Hannah Selinger are both from Newburyport.

The immersive weekend combines exclusive author experiences, thoughtfully curated programming, coastal relaxation and memorable dining, creating a meaningful shoulder-season getaway for readers. Each retreat will feature different authors and books, creating new opportunities for guests to return season after season.

“We created Books by the Sea as a way to bring people together through the shared love of reading, conversation, and connection,” said Meaghan Didato, Marketing Manager at Red Jacket Resorts. “Cape Cod has always been a place where guests come to slow down, recharge, and make meaningful memories, making it the perfect setting for book lovers to escape the everyday and connect with fellow readers.”
