Description: Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 at 7pm, The Salem Mission will host its second annual Patriots Preview with WEEI on-air personality and former NFL linebacker Steve DeOssie.
The evening is part of The Landing’s Tuesday night program to help local non-profits. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous buffet by the Best of the North Shore award winning restaurant while receiving insider information, including whether Tom Brady has fully recovered and if linebacker Mike Vrabel will be missed.
The event will also include a silent and live auction led by Joe Bayles of Witch City Consignment with incredible, one-of-kind sports memorabilia and game tickets, including autographed items from Jason Varitek, David Ortiz, Doug Flutie, the entire 2008 Celtics team, and much more.
When asked why he is making Patriots Preview possible for a second year DeOssie says, “I grew up in downtown Boston and have lived all over the country-homelessness is a problem I’ve seen everywhere I go. There is so much work to do to solve this problem. Last year was inspired by the spirit, energy, and dedication of the people at The Mission. I couldn’t imagine not supporting them again for a second year.” DeOssie is auctioning a golf foursome for him and thee top bidders at the event.
