Step Up for Colleen, Andover
Each May, the Andover community comes together to honor the life of teacher Colleen Ritzer, who died in 2013, carrying on the legacy of kindness that she built as a teacher. The 5K walk and run, which benefits the Colleen E. Ritzer Memorial Fund, raises money for college scholarships for high school seniors pursuing degrees in education. This year, the fundraiser celebrated its 10th anniversary, and since 2013 has raised $440,000 for almost 90 future teachers.
