In late December 2009, the Pentucket District was shattered when we found out about the tragic death of Matthew McCarthy, Captain of the Class of 2010 Pentucket High School Hockey Team. Matt passed away following a routine practice at the place he loved most, The Rink.  Matt's passion for hockey and his zest for life touched the lives of so many in our community. It goes without saying how much one person can change the way we all think about our everyday living. Since the age of 13, Matt travelled all over New England and Canada playing in elite hockey programs, his dream was to play for a college that loved hockey.In
