The 2018 Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival is set for Thursday, January 11 through Saturday, January 13.  The three-day festival features over 15 comedians at a variety of popular Salem venues, celebrating the craft of comedy, both for the audience as well as for the seasoned comedians performing each night.

“We’re excited to continue the festival for Salem” says festival producer and comedian Mark Scalia.  “Last year was a sell out and the feedback from both the audience and the comedians was phenomenal. Our goal is always to have a celebration of comedy, a real appreciation of the craft in a relaxed, happy environment—everything up close and personal. Both the comics and the audience get to feel like they are at home, with great moments all the way through.”

Each night will feature different comics.  Local venues for this year’s festival are: Thursday, at Far From the Tree, featuring their award-winning hard cider with a cheese tasting from The Cheese Shop of Salem. Night two, Friday, is at Deacon Giles Distillery at their Speakeasy Lab, featuring their award-winning spirits with special cocktails, and delicious bites from Smokin’ Betty’s BBQ + Bar. The finale, night three, Saturday, will be upstairs at the renowned Finz Seafood &Grill, with a special appetizer menu for the comedy show available.

Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival tickets are now on sale. Early booking highly suggested.

Says Scalia, “As a comedian and Salem resident, I love to offer something back to the city.  I also love to make people laugh. This opportunity to raise everyone’s spirits in winter and offer new experiences for both the audience and the talented comedians, continues to be a high point of my year.”
