It’s time for Salem’s Ice Scream Bowl and a chance to sample some of the best ice cream in the North Shore from some of the many delicious ice cream shops the area has to offer. Salem’s Ice Scream Bowl event will be held on Tuesday, August 7 at the Salem Common from 6:00-7:30 p.m., rain or shine. The event is a chance to taste some classic favorite flavors, as well as try a few new ones from the area’s premier ice cream shops. “Salem’s Ice Scream Bowl is an affordable community event which gets people together at the Salem Common enjoying the one thing that everyone loves – ice cream!” states organizer Jennifer Bell.

A few of the businesses serving samples at the event include Maria’s Sweet Somethings; Cherry Farm Creamery; Ben & Jerry’s; DownRiver Ice Cream, Hobbs and Rita’s Italian Ice. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. A spoon and napkin will be supplied with the purchase of a ticket. The proceeds will go towards Salem Main Streets, a non-profit organization, with the goal of revitalizing downtown Salem as a vibrant year-round retail, dining and cultural destination.
