New England Patriots stars and twin brothers, Devin and Jason McCourty, teamed up with David Yurman on Monday, December 9, to host a fundraising event to tackle sickle cell disease at the brand’s Copley Square store in Boston. Guests had the opportunity to meet the McCourtys while exploring David Yurman collections ranging from new fall styles and iconic cable designs to one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. This is the second consecutive year the professional athletes have partnered with David Yurman to host this event. During the evening Partiots memorabilia was auctioned off including signed footballs and helmets.

In 2013, Devin and Jason McCourty partnered with the New Jersey–based non-profit, Embrace Kids Foundation to launch the Tackle Sickle Cell campaign, which aims to educate the public, increase blood donors, and raise money and awareness for the fight against sickle cell disease. Ten percent of the evening’s proceeds were donated to the Embrace Kids Foundation to fund support services and programs for families battling sickle cell disease. During the evening the twins spoke about losing their aunt to this disease and Soana Pierrette, who suffers from the disease herself, gave a heart wrenching description of what it is like to live with this disease.

David Yurman is a celebrated American jewelry company founded in New York by David Yurman, a sculptor, and his wife, Sybil, a painter and ceramicist. Today, with their son, Evan, they create timeless yet contemporary collections for women and men defined by inspiration, innovation, consummate craftsmanship and cable—their artistic signature. David Yurman collections are available at 49 retail stores throughout the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, and France and at over 300 locations worldwide, through their exclusive authorized fine jewelry and timepiece network of retailers, including in the US, Canada, the Caribbean, France, Russia and the Middle East.
