Witch City 5K, Salem

Standout Qualities: Part of the YMCA North Shore Road Race Series, the Witch City 5K is a great way to kick off your day of Halloween fun in Salem. Run through boo-tiful historic Salem in your best costume in this annual Salem Haunted Happenings event. End the day with post-race awards, a costume contest, music, photos, refreshments, and more.

Fun Fact: Kids can join in on the Halloween costume fun with the Spooktacular Kids Broom Dash. 

What’s New: This year, proceeds from the 2017 YMCA of the North Shore Road Race Series will support local Y initiatives that combat childhood obesity. Also new for 2017 are new challenges and experience and distance digital badges. Run two races and become a Titan, earning a digital badge to share on social media. Run six series and earn the title Spartan; in addition to your digital badge to share, you’ll also receive a limited-edition series Spartan Commemorative Jacket at the end-of-season celebration. Run all 10 series races and be crowned Road Warrior. You’ll earn a digital badge, jacket, and race swag bag!

Philosophy: The friends and family of Colleen Ritzer have created this 5K walk/run to celebrate Colleen’s life and her commitment to help and inspire others.
