2023 BURGER

Editors’ Choice

The Blue Ox, Lynn

Open since 2009, this casual American spot in Lynn serves far more than superlative burgers. But it is, in fact, the burgers—hand-packed patties, topped with lettuce and tomatoes, and served with a spicy Maitland Mountain Farms pickle, in the house version, and, more intricately, with applewood-smoked bacon, truffle aioli, and Swiss cheese, in the “Sin” iteration—that have won the hearts and minds of Lynn’s denizens. The latter even won Boston magazine’s Battle of the Burger in 2013, 2014, and 2015, and remains a community favorite. 191 Oxford St., Lynn, 781-780-5722, theblueoxlynn.com
