GERRITYSTONE TO BE FEATURED IN YORK MAINE’S

20th ANNUAL DECORATOR SHOW HOUSE

GerrityStone, New England’s premiere interior and exterior custom stonework specialist, is honored to be showcased in York Maine’s 20th Annual Decorator Show House presented by the Museums of Old York. Opening Saturday, July 18th and running through Saturday, August 15th, this show house is considered one of New England’s landmark decorating events and represents a true collaboration of the some of the regions’ most talented interior designers. This year’s featured home is the historic McIntire Farm.

Working with renowned interior designer Frank Hodge, who is designing the home’s farmhouse-styled kitchen, GerrityStone is custom fabricating and crafting pieces of  one and half inch Irish Grey Limestone, a stone that ties into York’s identity as a seaside getaway.

Embedded and perfectly preserved in this particular limestone are fossilized sea shells, and while these fossils are millions of years old, they are the ideal compliment to the 300 year old heritage of York Maine’s rich history.  “It is like the perfect ingredient to an old family recipe,” states Dawn Carroll, Director of GerrityStone’s Architectural Division.  “This stone evokes the wonder of yesteryear and is a perfect choice for Mr. Hodges’ exceptional kitchen design.”

GerrityStone specializes in custom stone fabrication and installation for kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, and outdoor living spaces. Achieving the industry’s highest customer satisfaction ratings and offering the widest selection of directly sourced materials are the cornerstones of the company’s philosophy. GerrityStone is an industry leader in green practices providing education on LEED certification, as well as continually reducing its own ecological footprint and promoting green initiatives in the Boston area through its “Green Team,” an employee volunteer program.

Sponsored by Remax Realty One, the 20th Anniversary Decorator Show House takes place at McIntire Farm on Cider Hill Road in York, Maine and runs from July 18th through August 15th, 2009.  The show house is open for viewing Monday, Wednesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Thursday until 7 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. It is closed on Tuesdays.
